Inter Banking & Personnel Selection or IBPS is autonomous body which helps banks,Insurance agencies and few cooperative banks to recruit its employees after tiers of examination.IBPS conducts examination in online mode in two parts Prelims and Mains Examination.Selected candidates after the mains examination are given direct appointment for clerks as the interview had been taken out for Clerk examination.

About IBPS Clerk exam -2017

IBPS conducts clerical exam every year for the posts of clerks in 26 Public Sector Banks. Every year it has a vacancy near to 19000.It is the best and the mass recruitment among banks therefore the students get very competitive to win IBPS clerk exams.

IBPS Clerical Exam Eligibility Criteria -2017

(i) Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised university

(ii) He /She must not be born earlier than 2.08.1989 and not later than 01.08.1997

(iii) Candidates can seek relaxation if they belonged to Reserved Categories

IBPS Official Notification-2017

IBPS has not released its notification for the year 2017-18 but it has released its calendar including all the dates of IBPS exams including prelims and mains. It will publish the notification in the months of July and August.But it has issued the dates of the examination it one year prior due to the stiff competition and high cut off among students.The preliminaries will be held in the month of December as per the Calendar released by the IBPS.

IBPS Clerk Selection-2017

IBPS Exam is conducted in two parts

i) Preliminary Examination

ii) Mains Examination

Preliminary examination consists of 100 qns and a duration of  1 hour. The questions will consist of 35 questions each from reasoning and quanititative aptitude section and 30 questions from English language.To write mains examination one must pass prelims. It is easy as well as tough. Last year cut off for IBPS Prelims was 73 out of 100.Therefore candidates must work hard to win the competiition this year.The pattern for IBPS Clerk Prelims are given below.

IBPS Clerk main exam consists of 200 questions and 2hrs. Every section is ordered and timed in IBPS Clerk main exam,one cannot choose his own order of section for IBPS Clerk mains exam.Last year cut off for IBPS Clerk mains cut off was 128 out of 200.The time limit and number of questions for IBPS Clerk Mains exam are given below.
