The Indian Coast Guard has announced recruitment at 37 Yantrik posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply from March 16 to March 22 at the official website joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. Those interested in the Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Recruitment 2020 need to possess a diploma in any branch of Engineering.
Candidates with some excellence in sports will be given preference through a relaxation in the cut-off percentage. Outstanding sportspersons who have secured one of the top three ranks in any field sports event at the Open National Championship/Inter-State National Championship will get a 5% relaxation in cut-off percentage.
SC/ST candidates will also get a cut-off relaxation of 5%.
In order to apply for the 37 Yantrik vacancies at the Indian Coast Guard, candidates should have passed the class 10 or Matrik exam.
They should also have a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering from any AICTE-approved institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
Candidates applying for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik recruitment should be between 18 to 22 years of age.
Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST candidates, and 3 years for OBC candidates is applicable.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik candidates will be selected on the basis of Diploma marks and a objective-type written test.
The recruitment exam will test English language skills, GK, Reasoning, Aptitude, and knowledge in the respective branch (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics and Telecommunication).
After clearing the written test, selected candidates will have to appear for a medical exam and a Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
