Public Sector banking is a lucrative career with its salary,job security and job growth.In the earlier years recruitment was done by Personnel Selection Services(PPS) in 1975 for clerks and officers.In 1984 it was changed to Institute of Banking personnel Selection(IBPS).
IBPS PO is a common written examination held to recruit probationary officers for 27 public sector banks in India.Candidates after written examination and interview are selected as trainees for a two year period.After the completion of 2 years of probation they are posted as officers in the banks of their choice.
Every year IBPS PO will have a vacancy near to 9000 this time also we can expect vacancies near to the same number.Vacancies have equal number of reservations for various categories as of other jobs.
Candidates must be a graduate in any subject from a recognized university.Computer Literacy is necessary as the aspirant has to give examinations online.He/She must be well spoken in the official tongue of the state.
Candidate must be above 20 yrs of age and below 30yrs of age to apply for IBPS PO exam.Age relaxations are provided to the categories as below:-

Prelimary exam is an objective based exam for 100 marks.It has a time limit of 60 mts to attend all the questions.
