In such a scenario, production needs to be doubled without any external forces affecting it .For such a cause the agricultural scientist need to work in order to find the best quality plants and pest resistant plants. Almost quarter of the production is destroyed due to the infection caused by the pests. The scientists find ways to control and increase production.

Candidates after 12th standard must have passed B tech in Agricultural Engineering to practice as an agricultural scientist or must have passed diploma in agricultural engineering.
Candidates who wish to pursue their passion as Agricultural Scientist must have finished their higher secondary course with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in B tech in Agricultural engineering or Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.
Candidates after plus two must join a college for the course in Agricultural Engineering or diploma in agricultural engineering.
The salary of agricultural research scientist depends largely upon the experience and from the college the candidate has passed out from. With experience the candidate can get much better salary in the field. It is a very ambitious field and if hardworking the candidate can get an annual salary of 3 lakh to 4 lakh.
