Archeologists study the prehistory through the remains of ancient buildings and fossils. Their job is to dig out the remains and to study the type of living conditions then .It is basically the study of fossil remains .From the remains of the pre historic age, they will study the then humans, living conditions, and cultures, social and political conditions etc.
The stream of archeology has helped the world attain hints on the early life and the evolution of mankind. They dig out caves, islands, mountains and etc to find out about the early human kind. The remains provide us with the best information. Despite learning about the mankind we have also came to know about the oldest animals’ evolution and Charles Darwin s famous theory of the survival of the fittest. How did we find out that animals have evolved? Or how did we know that apes have been evolved into man? It is due to the fossil remains of the animals. It is the change in DNA which helped the archeologists and the anthropologists to find out the pattern in human kind. All of which it was possible due to the development in the field of archeology.
The discovery of civilizations like the Mohenjo-Daro, Harrapan Civilizations have been found out due to excavations .Yes the archeologists have a great participation in introducing the pre historic age to the new generation.

You can be a field technician where you can travel around the world and can excavate fields. The next level of a field technician is project archeologist.
