An astronomer is a scientist who studies space and its bodies. They study about everything in the space be it planets, stars, celestial bodies , black holes, gravitational force etc. An astronomer will spend his time looking through the telescope and will study the universe. And only an astronaut can go to space. It is the play of physics which helps the astronomers study space.
Astronomers mainly do research. They research on things and discover facts. They will have a particular object to focus upon, and they will mostly work on that particular subject throughout their lifetime. There are actually two types of astronomers theorists and observationists. Theorists use information to make computer models and observationists use theories to explain their data . They work together to explain the models which they both cannot understand.
Astronomers are also classified into various types. A planetary scientist is a scientist which studies planets and moons. There are stellar astronomers which studies stars and solar astronomers which studies the sun and galactic astronomers studies galaxies.
There are also radio astronomers which studies objects with the help of a telescope and they are called radio astronomers. You have your type of astronomy if you are interested with astronomy.
The journey to become an astronomer is very challenging. You cannot see studies related to astronomy offered by all colleges. The ones that they offer will be the best and they will recruit only the best in the country .Chase your dreams and work hard to reach your destined career.
