Open Guide – A cartoonist is a professional who uses his drawing skills to draw a caricature of a person or to draw a piece of cartoon to voice his opinion. A cartoonist mostly uses his drawing skills to reflect his present society .His pictures mostly will have a humorous tone to it .He is mostly recruited by newspaper and magazines give their voices through a cartoon.

A cartoonist is the first person to give life to an inanimate object .Joseph Barbera was the cartoonist who brought the two characters Tom and Jerry to life .It even won seven oscars in his time and was even nominated for 6 more .It was his cartoonist skills which brought Tom and Jerry and which is still a child’s favorite cartoon. He is the first person who draws an image which then is later made into a cartoon, a film or an animated film.

A cartoonist other than using his skills for films or animation. He uses his drawing skills to voice his strong opinions against the injustice in the society. A cartoonist mostly works with a magazine or a newspaper and voices his opinion .He also can display his cartons in an exhibition where he is later applauded for his works.

2)      He must be a keen observer of the society only then he bring changes to the society through cartoons.

A Bachelor in Fine Arts will include subject such as Visual arts, technical subjects, creative writing etc. A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation will train the students in different types of graphics, software and creative writing in English.

2)      Candidates if they have finished their bachelors they are eligible to do their Master’s in Fine Arts or Masters in Animation
