Open Guide – A food Inspector is a person who checks the safety and quality of the food products. He can order issues to the public canteens and messes if the food provided does not have enough quality.
He conducts raids to the public canteens and has the power to close down a place, if it does not serve hygiene and quality food. He has immense powers and he issues circulars to be followed while running a canteen.

To be a Food Inspector the aspiring candidate must have finished his plus two in science stream .After finishing his plus two degree, the candidate can opt for a degree in any science subjects
1) The candidate must finish his plus two first in science stream if you want to pursue as a food inspector. After completing plus two complete your degree in any of the science subjects like botany, zoology, Physics, Chemistry etc
2) After being received a degree the candidate must apply for food inspector exam conducted by any state psc’s .You have to study the exam pattern must give it a shot. By doing all these procedure the candidate an successfully pursue his dream of a food inspector.
Food Inspectors have their future with the government .Food Inspectors are recruited by the state psc’s. They mostly have a great career in the government service. They are in charge of the hotels and restaurants in an area .They issue orders if the food in the area is not hygiene. They are appointed with a lucrative salary and good emoluments.
A government servant will get an average starting salary of 20,000 – 30,000 in the initial years. With experience, the candidate will get a much higher salary near to 60,000.Food Inspectors also have a great future in the private sector. They will also have an attractive package in the private sector.
