Open Guide – A sailor in the Indian Navy will serve anywhere in the world sometime on board of the ships or in submarines. The equipments in the submarines, weapons sensors and other machineries are operated and maintained by sailors .
The selected candidates will be given training in the INS Chilka in Orissa. The trained men are later given training in their respective trades on Indian Naval Ships and base units.The details to join the Indian Navy Sailors are given below.
1)Apprentice
(i)Artificer
Post – Artificer
An Artificer will manage the technical changes of the ship while sailing. He will also manage the men in addition to all the other challenges.
Eligibility – Matriculation pass with at least 60% with Maths and Physics
2)Sailor
Post –Sailor
A Sailor will have to serve in powerful modern ships aircraft carriers and Guided Missile Destroyers. It will be a highly technical environment.
3)Matric Recruit
(i)Chef
He will have to prepare the menu according to the needs of the officers and staffs.
(ii)Steward
He will have to serve the food in the mess ,as waiters,house keeping etc.
(iii)Sanitary Hygienist
They will maintain hygiene in wash room and other areas.
4)Musician
Post –Musician
A Musician will perform in the Indian Armies and will represent the navy and will perform all over the world.
Eligibility – 10th pass with skills in aurical aptitude , western notation and theory of music.
The recruitments for the Matric Recruits will be published in the leading newspapers or employment news papers .The candidates can fill in the application forms which will be available in the official websites . The candidates must download the form and must be send through ordinary posts only, other posts will be rejected by the Indian Navy.
