Journalism and mass communication has taken a big turn since the past few years .The technological advancement has helped us develop a field called the Journalism and Mass communication. It has given birth to mass media like the news reporting, live programmes , live reporting ,reality shows etc. The invention of computers and internet has helped in mass communication and the communication exchange with the satellites has also helped in the live reporting and live programmes. We cannot say that there wasn’t any communication methods in the previous century, yes, there were but it wasn’t so very established like in the present century.
In the 21st century, mass communication includes news reporting, public relations department, advertisements etc. It is an extensive field with innumerable advancements. People are finding the field entertaining as well as employable. It is an industry where you can work as a reporter, producer, anchor, news reader , video jockey etc.
Journalism is also another form of communication. It is unique in its way because there are so many sub categories of journalism and the whole purpose of journalism is not entertainment, but awareness and development. There are no fads with journalism it is a solemn profession which has to be seriously dealt with .
