A optician is a technical practitioner who corrects a person’s vision using glasses or lens . The person will give the correct lens and advices him the right glasses with correct power. The appliance can be glasses, lenses or any other aids. A optician may work in an hospital, clinic or in a spectacle shop. Opticians only deal with the fitting of glasses and an optician cannot prescribe any treatments.                                                                            

An optician mainly makes lenses. The person will design the lens according to the customers need. They are specialized in the making of lenses and glasses for a patient .They also create glasses for people who have complex vision. Patients go to opticians to get their vision fixed with lenses and they cannot suggest any diagnosis.

An optometrist can work in hospitals, clinics, lens industries and eye departments.
