Raghu Rai conferred with Lifetime Achievement award

Photojournalist Raghu Rai was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award on by the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry for “his remarkable contribution to the field.”

French Mathematician Yves Meyer won Abel Prize 2017 

The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has decided to award the Abel Prize for 2017 to Yves Meyer of the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, France“for his pivotal role in the development of the mathematical theory of wavelets”
