Kerala LDC

Kerala Public Service Commission conducts Lower Division Clerk recruitment examination every three years in the 14 districts of Kerala State. LDC called as 'layman's IAS' provides a golden oppurchunity for the candidates who are waiting to get into Kerala government service.Hundreds of LD Clerk vacancies are reported every year from various departments of Kerala government.

Candidates with a pass in SSLC or equivalent examination are eligible to apply for the LD Clerk recruitment examination. Applicants who are eligible must apply through 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' facility in the Kerala PSC thulasi website. Candidates who have already registered can log in to their profile using User id and password to apply for the LD Clerk examination. First time applicants must create their profile in thulasi website to apply for the LDC examination. 

Kerala LD Clerk Salary

Based on the current pay scale LD clerk salary ranges from 19000 to 43600. With the addition of DA and other allowances apart from the basic pay an LD clerk who got appointed in 2017 will receive more than 25000 as the monthly salary. 

The promotion opportunities for an LD clerk depends on the department he gets appointed. Kerala Revenue Department is one of the most prominent department which provides better job promotion opportunity for the LD Clerks

 Kerala LDC Application

Kerala PSC will publish an official notification in its official website https://keralapsc.gov.in/ and in its print magazine PSC bulletin for the LD Clerk recruitments. Apart the from this most of the job magazines and dailies will be reporting the LDC notification details during the PSC notification. Usually PSC invites LDC recruitment examination applications in every three year to prepare LDC rank list for the 14 districts of the Kerala State. LD clerk rank lists will expire after the completion of minimum three year from the date of which the rank list came into effect or until the implementation of a new rank list.

Kerala PSC prepares separate LDC rank lists for all the 14 districts. Thiruvanathapuram and Eranakulam are the two prominent districts where maximum number of LDC appointments are taking place in recent years. Pathanamthitta is one of the district where fewer number of candidates got appointed from the LDC rank list. Candidates must select their examination district wisely during the application to increase their selection chances. Candidates can opt for any district safely since there is no weightage mark for the native district candidates.

Kerala LDC holds a number of dignified posts under its designation of Lower Division Clerk.A lower division clerk can rise to a level of Deputy Collector or a Panchayat Secretary with hierarchic promotions.Departments under the Kerala Government are mainly divided into two categories of different character; Ministerial Employees and Ministerial Technical employees.

Ministerial Technical employees come under Agriculture,Wildlife Protection,PWD and Fisheries departments.Promotions under these departments are reported as follows:-

Ministerial Employees who come under Panchayat,Revenue,Sales Tax and Registration have better chances of promotion.A person joining as clerk in Revenue Department can eventually rise to a higher post of Deputy Collector, Thahsildar and Village Officer .There are also other dignified posts awaiting a lower division clerk of revenue department. 

Department of panchayat is another golden opporchunitywhich gives the LD clerk to rise into a post of Panchayat Deputy Director or Panchayat Secretary.

Kerala LDC Academic Qualification
