The combined Colleges of Arts, Science and Technology was established in the year 1931-32 with Padmabhushan Mamidipudi Venkata Rangayya as the Founder Principal. Afterwards the College of Arts & Commerce was carved out from the combined colleges in the year 1966.

St. John’s College is one of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Colleges established and administered by the Major Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram in accordance with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the constitution of our country.
