The Lady Hardinge Medical College for women was founded in 1914 to commemorate the visit of Her Majesty Queen Mary in 1911-12. Lady Hardinge the wife of the then Viceroy was the first to take initiative for starting a medical college for women, as the lack of separate medical college for women made it almost impossible for Indian women to study medicine.
Govt.Medical College, Kozhikode( Calicut medical College) is a premier medical college located in the city of Kozhikode in Kerala. It was established in 1957 as the second medical college in Kerala. Since then the institution has grown into a premier centre of medical education in the state.
Trivandrum Medical College is located in Thiruvananthapuram city, the capital of Kerala state, India. It was founded in 1951, and was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India.
