The college was sanctioned as per GO(MS)No.74/14/H.Edn. Dtd 14.02.2014 on request of the Hon’ble MLA Sri. K.V. Vijayadas of the Kongad Constituency, Palakkad. The college was officially started on 02.04.2014 as the Special Officer Dr. Krishnakumar .K took charge as per GO(O)No.666/2014/H.Edn. Dtd. 26.03.2014. The college was later affiliated to the University of Calicut.
