Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science is a venture of Sree Paramekkavu Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust, one of the major contributors to the field of Education for more than three decades. It is a newly started college which was established in 2013 by a group of progressive leaders of Thrissur. This dream project came true only because of the blessing of Paramekkavil Amma and is named after the Almighty Paramekkavu Bhagavathy who is the Goddess of Learning, Wisdom Power and Peace. The college is located in the heart of Thrissur, adjacent to Paramekkavu Temple and derives inspiration from Paramekkavil Amma, whose blessings will definitely guide and motivate the students, staff and management. The college management & staff through their consistent and untiring efforts are doing their best to mould the young students to a group of worthy citizens who will be able to prove their excellence as administrators executives, doctors, engineers, educators and so on.
Sanction was accorded for granting affiliation for starting the new self financing Arts and Science during the academic year 2013-14 by the University of Calicut as per the university order 2436/2013/cu dated 03.07.2013. on the basis of the G.O.(Rt) No 1144/2013/HEdn. dated 26.06.2013 that issued NOC for starting the college. Accordingly Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science was ceremoniously inaugurated on 29th July 2013 by Prof.K.Ravindranath, Pro Vice Chancellor of Calicut university .Dr. K. Bhavani M.Sc PhD. Professor of HOD of Physics retired, Sree Kerala Varma College Thrissur took charge as the first principal of this illustrious institution. After the resignation Dr.K.Bhavani, Dr.K.P.Sudha M.A, MPhil, PhD Principal retired from Sreekerala varma college was appointed as the Principal of Paramekkavu Arts and Science college. Our college offers six U.G programmes B.Sc.Computer Science, B.Sc.Electronics and B.A.English language and Literature, B.C.A, B.B.A, B.Com (Finance) Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science is now functioning under the efficient leadership of the new management of Sree Paramekkavu Educational Cultural And Charitable Trust. At present Sri.K.Manoharan & Sri.A.Ramachandra Pisharody are the Managing Trustees. With the blessings of Paramekkavu Bhagavathy this temple of learning is slowly and steadily progressing
