Andhra Muslim College, Guntur was founded by Janab Umar Khan, Ex. M.L.A., in the year 1984 vide G.O.Ms.No. 510 Education (J) Department, dated 28-11-1984 of Government of Andhra Pradesh under the management of Mohammadiya Education Society, Guntur, a charitable muslim minority society registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Regd. No. 236/84 dated 21-12-1984 for the Educational upliftment of Muslim Minorities in particular and others in general.
The Andhra Muslim College is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar and run to the entire satisfaction of the University and Government with B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. courses and also Intermediate courses with CEC, HEC, MPC, BiPC & HCML (Urdu) with attached Hostel facility.
The Andhra Muslim College is having the Study Centre of Moulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad and imparting coaching in distance mode for all the courses offered by the Moulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU).
In Andhra Muslim College campus the Government of Andhra Pradesh established a Regional Centre for the Educational Development of Minorities under the Ministry of Minorities Welfare and giving free coaching for common admission tests i.e., EAMCET, ICET, DIETCET, B.Ed. etc. and also for the exams conducted by APPSC, UPSC, SSC, DSC, RRB etc.
The Andhra Muslim College is having the Distance Education study centre of Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur offering M.A.English, M.Sc Chemistry and M.B.A.
The Andhra Muslim College is in rapid progress by providing coaching for English language, communication skill and soft skills and arranging for campus selections and guiding the students regarding Education and Employment.
