Chinmaya College of Arts, Commerce and Science, was founded in 1995 inspired by the ideals of the great visionary and sage, Swami Chinmayananda. By interpreting the ancient philosophical lore of our nation in a manner intelligible to the masses, Swami Chinmayananda earned the title, Second Vivekananda. With his grand vision, he travelled the length and breadth of the country, spreading his spiritual insights and everlasting values. Guided by his vision, the Chinmaya Mission came into existence in 1953, as the nucleus of a spiritual renaissance movement, which now encompasses a wide range of spiritual, educational, and charitable activities. Chinmaya College of Arts, Commerce and Science is run under the auspices of Chinmaya Mission, which manages more than a hundred schools and colleges across India and an international school at Coimbatore. All these institutions draw sustenance from the lofty vision espoused by Swami Chinmayananda. Over the years, Chinmaya College has evolved into an institution of quality education anchored in the ancient values of yore.

Presently headed by His Holiness Swami Swaroopananda, the Mission is governed by the Central Chinmaya Mission Trust (CCMT) in Mumbai, India. Under Swami Swaroopananda's guidance, the Mission now has 300 centers in different parts of the world and continues to expand. Chinmaya College is managed by Chinmaya Educational and Cultural Trust (Greater Cochin). CMECT (GC) also manages other Chinmaya Vidyalayas in Greater Cochin as well as in Alappuzha and Kottayam.
