John Paul Memorial (JPM) Educational institutions is established in 2005 under the management of St.Joseph’s Province of CST Fathers. It aims at offering quality education and value education. Besides providing highly efficient, the college concentrates on the development of each student. JPM College is a leading college and is one of Idukki’s preeminent, comprehensive private institution for higher education. JPM campus consists of JPM college of Arts and Science, John Paul Memorial B.Ed. college and JPM Junior college overlooking to the busy Kattappana - Kuttikkanam stretch of the Kattappana - Kottayam state highway.
A vision translated into action becomes a mission. It is the vision and mission of the college to impart quality education to the land-locked hence marginalized young ones of a migrant population. Good education is the key to the magic world of opportunities in todays’ global village. This had to be accessible to the people of the High Ranges, which is incandescent with the fragrance of coffee, tea, pepper and cardamom. The word which was at the beginning had to be transferred and planted in this fertile soil so that it took life and lived and expressed itself in fecundity.
Aptly enough, the motto of the college is “Lighted to Enlighten”. To borrow a phrase from the erstwhile President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the vision and mission of the college is to ignite un ignited young minds so that they can go forth as torch bearers to the world.
