Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education, a CMI Institution is owned and managed by Rural Educational and Social Trust Perambra. Rural Educational and Social Trust is a voluntary organization registered as 500/94 before the District Registrar [general], Kozhikode under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
The main objectives of the organization is to provide best quality education to the poor residing in rural areas, and there by develop them to accept and adopt to the latest technologies for earning a better living.
The organization intends to provide its service to the general public as a charitable one benefiting the rural poor, without any distinction with regards to religion, race, cast, community, sex, colour or nativity and work for the upliftment of the people by giving them a holistic training approach i.e., spiritual, mental and physical development in their life style.
The National Council for Teacher Education granted recognition as per the order no. F.KL/SEC/N/259/SRO/NCTE/2005-2006/3921, dated : 09-11-2005 and the University of Calicut in their order no.GA/D3/3987/2006,dated:06-06-2006 has accorded affiliation to the one year B. Ed. degree course of this institution.
