Sri Pattom Thanupillai, who has won outstanding reputation as Prime Minister of travancore, Chief minister of Kerala. Chief Minister of Travancore Cochin, Governor of Punjab and Andra Pradesh is the leading light and spirit behind these group institutions. In honour of this great leader a pioneering institute in the form of lps was started on August 4, 1976 by the eminent management team lead by Sri. Kottukal Damodharan Pillai.
Even through the institution was started as a Primary School in 1976, it was upgraded as a high school in 1984 and as a Vocational Higher Secondary School in 1995. Plus two classes were started in the school in the year 2002. In 2003 “Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial Teacher training Institute was stated for conducting T.T.C course; and in 2006, ‘Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial College of Education’ was established for conducting the B.Ed course affiliated to the university of Kerala. Now it has developed into a full fledged educational complex catering to the educational needs of an extensive rural area.
