Andhra Geervana Vidyapeetham” was founded in 1902 in Kovvur by Sri T.Suryanarayana Rao garu and it was put on firm basis by Sri V.Suryanarayana Rao garu. The management officially came into existence during the year 1912. These two men had high ideals and they had a vision to synthesis modern knowledge with ancient wisdom. They therefore aimed to acquaint the students with the knowledge of our ancestors and then to remove defeats in them. The main aim of the college at its inception was to propagate Vedas and Sastras. The faculty at that time was traditionalistic in outlook.
