Sivagiri Sree Narayana Medical Mission College of Nursing, managed by Sree Narayana Dharma Sangam Trust, Varkala, was started in 2003 with an intake of 50 students. This college is attached to a 300 bedded multi speciality hospital with modern medical facilities. The faculty acknowledges their responsibilities in helping the students to develop pride in their profession and to equip them for a successful career ahead. The Trust reflects Sree Narayana Guru’s preaching “One Caste, One Religion, One God†which permeates to all levels of activities of the college of Nursing. The students' wing of the Professional organization of Nurses (Trained Nurses Association of India) is active here. The college intends to start PBNC and M.Sc (Nursing) in the coming years.
