Vijaya College of Nursing believes that., Health is a state of wellbeing that enables a person to lead a physically, psychologically, socially and economically productive life. We also believe that health is a fundamental right of all the people and they have a responsibility towards maintaining their health.
Nursing contributes to the health service in vital and significant ways in health care delivery system. It aims at identifying health needs of the people and providing quality care in collaboration with other health professionals and community groups.
The scope of Nursing practice encompasses provision of promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of care to people across their life span in wide variety of health care settings.
UG and PG programme in Nursing prepare the nurses to improve the quality of Nursing practice, Nursing education, Nursing administration and Nursing research.
The teachers have the responsibility to be role model and create learning environment that enables students to acquire inquiry driven, self directed learning and faster an attitude of life long learning.
Nursing education programme prepares its Graduates and Post Graduates to become exemplary citizens by adhering to the code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to national and international aspirations.
Management and faculty have the responsibility towards nurses in giving care for individual and society during illness and wellness.
