Let the total number of registered voters = x

Registered voter who cast vote = 3x/5

Let condidate B gets y votes

then condidate A gets = y+600

According to question,

y+y+600=3x/5

2y+600=3x/5 ....(i)

14y/5=3x/5

⇒ y=3x/14 .....(ii)

On putting the value of y in eqn.(i)

2×3x/14+600=3x/5

x=3500
