Open Guide-JEE has published the results of JEE paper –I and the ranks of each candidate with his marks acquired for each subject. The candidates with qualified cut-offs are eligible to write the JEE (Advanced).
Admission to NIT
Admissions to Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology are based on the marks of JEE paper- 1. Admissions to five year integrated course of MSC/dual degree BSCMSC are also based on the above condition.
Types of Seats
There are 31 NIT’S all over India. Admission to NIT’s are open through two types of options. The option where the candidate gets a seat in his resident state is called home state quota, here the NITs have reserved a seat of 50% for the same. The other option is through other state quota when seats are reserved for students of other states.

To the end of admission process 0f 2016 ,seats were vacant in other state and home state quotas in open category. Bachelor of Architecture
NIT also provides admissions to the Architecture course but this admittance is based only on the marks scored for the JEE (advanced )which is not published yet.Last year candidates of home state quota has secured admissions within rank of 2136 and candidates from other state quota within ranks of 2092.
Fees
NIT charges One lakh twenty five thousand for one academic year. Candidates of reserved caste and PWD are exempted from paying the fee. Families with income below 1 lakh are also exempted from paying fee. Families with income between 1 lakh and five lakh only need to pay a fee of Rs 41,667.
