Open Guide - Apart from the technical branch of the Indian Air force, there is the non technical branch which completes the Indian Air force. The non- technical branch has many divisions which supports the technical branch indirectly. The different departments in the non technical branch are logistics, administration, education, meteorology and accounts. The officers to the various departments are recruited by the exam conducted by the Indian Air Force .
Candidates who wish to join the Non Technical Branch of Indian Air force then the they must have taken science for plus two stream.
Candidates who wish to join the non technical branch of the Indian Air Force must write the exam Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT to get admission to the non technical branch. AFCAT will be held every year towards December.
1) To join the Administration branch (Permanent Commission (for Men)/Short Service Commission (for men and women) )

The starting salary of the non technical branch in the Indian Air force will get a salary of Rs 63,000 .With experience in the profession an officer in a non – technical branch can draw must higher salary.
