Artist Career

An artist is a person who puts his mind  to pictures. He pours out his thoughts and ideas using pictures. An artist mostly has his choice of pictures .Some will concentrate on sceneries, some people and there are some who depict the pictures or scenes of the stories from Mahabharata and Ramayana. In the olden days artist was a profession or a hobby practiced by the elite or royal families .Only those men had the skills and the expertise to draw pictures. Such an artist was Raja Ravi Varma who was the ruler of Travancore and was the notable artist of the 18th century. Now it is being taught and studied by everyone in the present world. There are courses recognized in the universities to be an artist. It includes bachelors or masters in fine arts.

Artist Career Prospects

An artist work is mostly freelancing he or she works at home and sell their paintings for a living. Some of the artists are employed in organizations according to their academic qualification. Artist Salary

The salary of an artist depends upon the type of job he is engaged into. If he sells his paintings for a living then he will get charged according to the uniqueness of the piece. Each painting is sold for a price ranging from 500 and above. If the person is working as a teacher or a professor then he can earn a starting salary of Rs 12,000 to 15,000 and with experience he will earn more salary.
