Bank Probationary Officer Career

A bank probationary Officer is a person who joins the bank after successfully passing the bank PO exam. The students who get selected after the bank po exam will serve as a probationary officer and after 2 years they will be the assistant manager of the bank. Students who has a bachelor’s degree and  is between the age of 28 and 30 yrs will be eligible to apply for the post .The posts are available in almost all the banks .You just have to study hard for the exam before you cross your age limit.

A bank probationary officer is the future bank manager .Therefore he has to start behaving like one. During the training period they are trained in accounts, to handle complaints, bills etc. They are given instructions to handle almost all the areas in the banks. To be a bank po officer you must first earn a bachelor degree in any subject from a recognized university. A bachelor’s degree is the minimum qualification to write a bank exam.

Step 1 To be a bank po officer you must have the minimum qualification to write the bank po exam.

Step 2 Earn your bachelors degree as the minimum qualification

Actually there are two alternatives to join as a bank po officer.

Step 3 You can write the examinations conducted by IBPS for different banks such SBI, Federal bank ,IBPS PO common exams etc. After passing the three stages of the exam namely the prelims, mains and the interview,you will appointed as a probationary bank officer 

Step 4 Other than the exams conducted by IBPS, there is a scheme called the manipal school of banking programme. In this scheme you will write an exam conducted by the Manipal School of Banking on behalf of the respective banks. They will select you on basis of marks and will put you through a personality test. If you get selected they will send you to Mani pal School of Banking, Bangalore where you will complete 9 months of course including internship in a bank .At the end of the course you will also be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Program me .It is a paid course therefore you will have to pay Rs 3 lakh which will be deducted from your salary. Its a sure jon though you have to you have to stay there for 9 months.
