1) Changed Pattern
RRB clerk prelims pattern has been changed from last year .Now, RRB prelims exam has only 80 questions now, 40 from reasoning and 40 from Quantitative Aptitude. Therefore, therefore competition has become tough from previous years. English language was a pacifier for many students. But since the inception of the new pattern, the exam has become very competitive.
2) New strategy
The new strategy must be to do complete 80 questions in just 45 minutes. There is nothing less than 80 questions because the last year cut off for RRB prelims was 72.The cut offs can either go less or more .But being it the clerical exam the questions will only be simple. Therefore, understand the questions will only be simple, but the strategy is to do maximum number of questions.
3) Quantitative Aptitude
There are forty questions from quantitative aptitude section. Good attempts will be a range of 35-37 questions. This section will comprise of questions from all the topics. Out of the 45 minutes Quantitative aptitude section shouldn’t take time more than 20 to 25 minutes.
The standard level of quantitative aptitude section is very simple that if tried you can do a maximum of 40 questions
3) Reasoning
Reasoning questions comprise of 40 questions in total. You won’t get more than 20-23 minutes to attempt the maximum number of questions in reasoning section. The questions are very simple. The only thing to be careful is to maintain the accuracy. The answers must be correct as the questions are very simple and cut off must be very high.
4) Accuracy Matters
Accuracy matters especially in a competitive exam like this. Maintain accuracy to score more marks. The questions are very simple in IBPS rrb office assistant prelims,a maximum of 80 questions can be done. The threat of accuracy must be monitored.
5) Increasing cut offs
Cut offs are increasing year by year. Last year the cut of IBPS RRB prelims was 72.This year it can either go high or low. But everyone must understand that the cut off is high because the questions are very simple .You don’t have to fear the exam just write it with confidence.
