India,Myanmar sign MoU to conserve Earth Quake hit Pagodas

The Union Cabinet has approved the project to conserve earth quake hit Pagodas in Bagan city of Myanmmar.A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the pact will be signed between the two countries during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the nation on 6-7 September.

Konkani writer Mahabaleshwar Sail has won the prestigious literary price Saraswati Samman for his work,Hawthan.The award was presented to him by the Union Commerce Minister ,Nirmala Sitharaman.The story is based on potter community.

The union cabinet has approved the recommendations of Shekatkar Committee, in the Indian army.The reforms will include redeployment and restructuring of approximately 57,000 post of officers ,soldiers and civilians in the army.

India and European Union have decided to cooperate on Counter Terrorism. They will both counter Terrorism by combating radicalisation and violent extremism  during the 10th India-European Union Counter Terrorism Dialogue .

India and Switzerland sign MoU's on railway sector

India and Switzerland has signed Mou's on Railway sector.The first MoU is on MoU is between Ministry of Railways and Federal Department of the Environment, Transport and Communications of the Swiss Confederation for technical cooperation in Rail Sector.The second MoU is between Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. This was signed by Sanjay Gupta, CMD/KRCL and Prof. Sarah Springman, Rector, ETH Zurich.

ISRO PSLV C-39 mission fails

Indian Scientific and Research Organisaton mission PSLV C-39 has failed because the tip of the rocket or the heat shield tip did not open. IRNSS-1H, the eighth in the NavIC constellation, was to replace IRNSS-1A, the first satellite in the constellation whose rubidium atomic clocks had stopped functioning. The clocks are a critical component in providing accurate locational data.

The police have taken a big initiative to train the JJ cluster youth in the city.It is a skill development programme under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana It was inaugrated by the Union Minister Rajnath Singh. 

New Industrial Policy by the Government

The Union Cabinet has decided to introduce a New  Industrial  Policy .It will likely to be introduced in October.The new policy will subsume the existing National Manufacturing Policy. 

CEL sold out in strategic sale

Government has sold out Central Electronics Limited in a 100% Strategic sale.Incorporated in 1974, CEL is under the administrative control of Ministry of Science and Technology.

NITI Ayog launched Judicial Performance Index

National Institution for Transforming India has started Judicial Performance Index.It is to check the performance of lower judiciary.It will also help to know the list of pending cases in the court.

Union Government has approved the India-Isreal Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation fund.Bo th the nations will  make a 4 mn USD each for the fund annually for five years.This MoU was planned due to Narendra Modis visit to the Jewish State. 

Government approves Promugation of GST(compensation to states),2017.

The Union Government has approved the Promulgation of GST(compensation to states),2017.The approval is to increase the compennsationn to 25% from 15%.

Union Cabinet Approves India-Brazil Agreement on Zebu Cattle

The Union Government has approved agreement on Zebu Cattle Genomics and reproductive technologies.The MoU would facilitate scientific cooperation and setting up of genomic selection programme in zebu cattle. 

IIT Guwahati, develops Bio Artificial-Implantable Pancreas

The researchers of IIT Guwahati have developed Bio Artificial-Implantable Pancreas model grown with 3D Silk Scaffold.The bio artificial pancreas encapsulates insulin producing beta cells capabale of naturally producing Insulin in sustained manner.

India, Germany sign pact for grid integration of renewable energy

India and Germany signed pact for  technical cooperation under the Indo-German Energy Programme – Green Energy Corridors (IGEN-GEC).The agreement was signed by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH India on behalf of Germany.
