  • India water week inaugrated 

    President Ram Nath Kovind has inaugrated the India Water Week themed Water and Energy for Inclusive Growth .Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari said that 285 new irrigation projects will be taken up by next year to provide irrigation for 1 crore 88 lakh hectare of land.

  • First BIMSTEC Management to be held in India

    The first Bay of Bengal Multi-Sectoral and Technical and Economic Cooperation (Bimstec) disaster management exercise will be held in October 10th. The exercise will feature seven countries, including Bangladesh, of South and South East Asia to test their efficiency in facing natural calamities.

    President Ram Nath Kovind has visted Kerala to laud the free dinking water facility all the villages in Kerala for 100 crs.It is a humanitarian initiative as a part of the 64th birth anniversary of Mata Amrithanantha Mayi and the name of the project is Jeevamrutham.

  • India to set up 2nd Bangalore Metro phase with Europe  

    India and European Investment bank has signed a contract for lending 300 euros for the development of Bangalore Metro Phase II.The phase II is to be jointly financed by the EIB (500 million euros) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (300 million euros).

    The Ministry of Tourism has launched Paryatan Parv’ a 20-day programme organised with the aim of drawing attention on the benefits of tourism.The programme was launched by the Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma.The Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge), Alphons Kannanthanam, was also present at the event.

    After the first wildlife action plan in 1983 and the second wildlife action plan in 2002 till 2016 ,the third one is unveiled for adoption.In the third wildlife action plan ,consideration will be given to the climatic change impact on wildlife which will be effective from 2017-2031.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana “Saubhagya” to electrify household who are willing in the rural and urban house holds.The total  total outlay of the project is Rs. 16, 320 crore .
