  • Government Launched 2 National Level Initiatives in Field Of Science Communication

    The Department of Science and Technology (DST) along with Doordarshan (DD), Prasar Bharati launched two science communication initiatives, DD Science and India Science. The initiatives were inaugurated by Union Science & Technology Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan.

    While DD Science is an one-hour slot on Doordarshan National channel, India Science is a internet-based channel, which is available on any internet-enabled device, and will offer live, scheduled play and video-on-demand services.

  • Sikkim CM Launched ‘One Family, One Job’ Scheme

    Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling launched the ‘One Family One Job’ scheme, under which for every family one government job has been allotted, in Gangtok. New recruits were taken for Group C and Group D posts in 12 departments.
    Thus, Sikkim became the first state in the country to carry out such a programme for the people entitling them to state government employee benefits. He also declared that all loan debts in the farming and agriculture sector would be revoked.

  • US Launches 'Fair Value for Innovation' At Raisina Dialogue

    The Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) of United States Chamber of Commerce launched a new innovation strategy at Raisina Dialogue, 2019 in New Delhi. The Initiative is titled as “Fair Value for Innovation”.\
    The Initiative will examine economic underpinnings in order to enable breakthrough innovation and explore the opportunities to harness innovation capital in India and around the globe through research, advocacy, partnerships, and programs.

  • PM Modi Launched Various Development Projects in Solapur

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched development projects worth Rs 1,100 cr at Solapur in Maharashtra. Referring to the passage of The Constitution (One Hundred And Twenty-Fourth Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, PM, Modi described it as a landmark moment in the nation’s history. 
    PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for an over 1800 crore rupee housing project of 30,000 units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. It will benefit the homeless poor like rag pickers, rickshaw pullers, textile and beedi workers.
  • Polavaram Project Enters Guinness Book of World Record For Concrete Pouring

    The Polavaram project of Andhra Pradesh entered the Guinness Book of World by pouring 32,100 cubic meters of concrete in a matter of 24 hours. While the staff of Navayuga Engineering company performed the task, project, and state government officials remained at the site until the goal was completed.
    The entire event was witnessed by the representatives of Guinness Book of World Record with the help of drone cameras.

  • PM Modi Inaugurates 1st PIO Parliamentary Conference in Delhi

    PM Narendra Modi inaugurates the first Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Parliamentary Conference in Delhi on the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. The day is celebrated every year to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community in the development of India.
    It also commemorates the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to Mumbai on 9 January 1915. In the Conference, the biggest delegation was from Guyana with 20 members of parliament and three mayors.

    Haryana has become the first state in the country to launch High-Risk Pregnancy (HRP) Portal. This portal not only helps in early identification of high-risk pregnant cases up to the grass-roots level but also ensures their timely referral to the civil hospitals for further management and delivery by specialists.

    This innovative web application has been designed to track every high-risk pregnant woman till 42 days after delivery.

  • PM Modi Inaugurated 106th Indian Science Congress At Jalandhar

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 106th Indian Science Congress (ISC-2019) at Jalandhar, Punjab. The ISC is an annual congregation that witnesses deliberations by top scientific minds of the country.

    The theme for which is 'Future: India-Science and Technology'. This will be his 5th address to Indian Science Congress after assuming office as Prime Minister.

  • PM Modi Inaugurated Bogibeel Bridge in Assam

    PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bogibeel bridge in Assam. The 4.94-kilometer long Bogibeel bridge on Brahmaputra river will connect the two northeast states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
    This Bogibeel Bridge on Brahmaputra river marks a historic milestone towards achieving the goal of New India. It was in 2002, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee commenced the construction of the double-decker bridge in Dibrugarh of Assam.

  • Assam Government Announces 3 Schemes For Farmer's Welfare

    The Assam government announced waivers galore in a bid to bring the farmer vote bank into confidence.

    For the development of the farming community of the state, the Assam government has decided on a 25 per cent loan waiver for farmers of the state up to a loan of Rs 25,000 under Credit Subsidy Scheme of the state government.

    The Assam State Cabinet on Monday night approved the 25 per cent loan amount waiver for farmers of the state.
