PM Modi Unveils World's Tallest Statue Measuring 600feet In Gujarat
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's memorial on the leader's 143rd birth anniversary in Gujarat's Narmada district. Called the Statue of Unity, the bronze sculpture is the world's tallest statue measuring 600 feet (182m) and overshadows China's Spring Temple Buddha (153m) and USA's Statue of Liberty (93m). The memorial was constructed in 33 months at Rs2,989 crore.
All You Need To Know About 'Train 18'- India's 1st Engineless Train
India's first engine-less train, "Train 18", developed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and seen as a successor to the prestigious Shatabdi Express, was unveiled by Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani.
The Rs. 100-crore train is the first long-distance train, without a separate locomotive (engine). It was flagged off at the ICF premises by Mr Lohani and would undergo trials. According to ICF, the train is capable of running at a speed of up to 160 kmph and comes with technical features for enhanced quick acceleration. The swanky 16-coach train will cut journey time by 15% compared to the 30-year old Shatabdi.

Foundation Of India’s Largest Dry Dock Laid at Cochin Shipyard
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari lay the foundation stone for the country’s largest dry dock at Cochin Shipyard in Kochi, worth Rs 1799 crore. The new dry dock will be 310 m long, 75 m wide, with a depth of 13 m and drought of 9.5 m. It is being designed to handle a load of 600 T/m with international safety standards.

SBI, Hitachi Payments form Joint Venture For Digital Payment Platform
Country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) and payments solution provider Hitachi Payment Services India has entered into an agreement to form a joint venture for establishing a card acceptance and digital payment platform.
BI will have a majority stake in the proposed joint venture. Hitachi Payment Services India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Group, Japan.
