The United Nations celebrated International Translation Day for the first time in the history.The day is observed to pay respect to the unsung heroes behind international diplomacy who work as language profesional for the security and diplomacy of our country. 

Third India International Science Fest at Chennai

V-409 Indian Coast Guard interceptor boat launched 

Indian Coast Guard’s (ICG) new interceptor boat V-409 was launched in Karnataka.It was manufactured by Bharathi Defence and Infrastructure Limited (BDIL). The vessel will be inducted into service by mid-October 2017 to give boost to coastal security .

NASA scientists has used a sling shot manoeuvre around the Earth in their mission to land a spacecraft on an asteroid.This will be the first spacecraft to return with a sample if its completes its mission by 2023.
