NGT bans Waste dumping and Open Defecation in Yamuna plains

National Green Tribunal banned dumping of waste and open defecation in the Yamuna plains and also warned a fine of Rs 5000 who violated the diktat.A bench headed by NGT chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar constituted a commitee headed by Delhi Jal Board to overlook the cleaning of the river.The directions were given while NGT was hearing a plea on implementation of Phase 1-Maili se Nirmal Yamuna Revitalisation Project-2017.
