Canadian wins $1m Global Teacher Prize for work with Inuit students

A Canadian teacher from a remote village in the Canadian Arctic won the Global Teacher Prize, worth $1 million (Dh3.67 million), on Sunday night in Dubai.Maggie MacDonnell was selected from among 10 international finalists who had flown in for the two-day Global Education and Skills Forum (GESF), held at Atlantis, The Palm.

President Mukherjee presents KCK International Award for excellence in print journalism

President Pranab Mukherjee presented the KCK International Award for Excellence in Journalism on March 20 at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. The award is instituted by the Jaipur-based newspaper Rajasthan Patrika.
