    In response to controversy surrounding climate change, David Malpass, the previous president of the World Bank, resigned before the end of his term. Following his resignation, US President Joe Biden recently proposed Ajay Banga, the former CEO of Master Card, to take over as president of the World Bank. Ajay is skilled at managing economic concerns related to climate change.

  • India's Rudrankksh Patil won the gold medal at the ISSF Shooting World Cup.

    The ISSF World Shooting Championship is organised by the International Shooting Sport Federation. The first one was held in 1897. Cairo recently hosted the 2023 ISSF Shooting World Cup. Rudrankksh Patil and R Narmada Nithin of India won the gold medal. This is the first time India wins gold in the competition.

  • SC rejects PIL regarding menstruation leave

    The Supreme Court received a Public Interest Lawsuit about menstrual leave. The Supreme Court first agreed to consider the PIL and stated that it would "hear it in a week." Recently, nevertheless, the SC declined to hear the PIL. According to SC, adopting legislation or making judgements about these leaves will discourage women from finding employment. The Supreme Court further noted that the government is in charge of finding a solution. and advised the petitioner to contact the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
