Our Institution was founded by Late Prof. N. Ananthachar, a well known educationist. It is located in Narasimharaja colony, Basavanagudi area, the southern part of Bangalore, which is a prestigious, educational , and elite locality of the city.

The combined Colleges of Arts, Science and Technology was established in the year 1931-32 with Padmabhushan Mamidipudi Venkata Rangayya as the Founder Principal. Afterwards the College of Arts & Commerce was carved out from the combined colleges in the year 1966.

Indraprastha College for Women (estd. 1924) is a constituent college of the University of Delhi and its oldest women’s college. Founded as a part of a nation-wide campaign for women's education and empowerment.
