Sri Raja Vatsavai Butchi Seetayamma Jagapathi Bahadur Maha Ranee College was started in the year 1967 to commemorate the philanthropic maharance of Peddapuram samsthanam in response to long felt need of a college in this area. Sri S.B.P.B.K. Satyanarayana Rao the then chairman of Zilla Parishad, East Godavari District took initiative in this regard.
