In Christ Nagar College, along with imparting knowledge, the students are encouraged to emulate the principles of austerity, discipline and truthfulness which have been practised by Saint Chavara Kuriakose Elias the inspiration behind the setting up of all the CMI Institutions. To encourage various talents of the students and to inculcate leadership qualities, we have an Arts Club, Sports Club and Department Associations.

Sree Narayana College, Kollam is one of the earliest and the greatest centres of higher education in the whole state of Kerala. Affiliated to the University of Kerala, the College is managed by the Sree Narayana Trusts, Kollam. Bearing in letter and spirit the name of Sree Narayana Guru (1854-1928), the great saint-philosopher, social reformer and mystic poet, the college was started in 1948 by S.N.D.P. This institution was established with Arts subject courses of under-graduate wing of University College, Thiruvananthapuram in 1993-1994, with minimum infrastructural facilities. During 1996-97 all under graduate courses were shifted back to University College Thiruvananthapuram.
